We put Natalya in the Lehi Baby Pageant this year, but unfortunately, she did not win (were the judges BLIND?…just teasing).

It was actually really fun though, the theme was “Old Hollywood” and so we dressed Natalya up like Shirley Temple. We watch a lot of Shirley Temple in our house, and Natalya has similar mannerisms and even looks a little like she did. I put Natalya in sponge curlers so her hair would be very curly, put her in one of Nadia’s dresses  so it would be short, threw on some cute bloomers and topped it off with the classic white socks and black baby doll shoes that Shirley Temple seems to always have on.

When Natalya went in front of the judges she became really shy. She stuck her fingers in her mouth and would not do anything else! Then of course afterword she totally hammed it up and was dancing and smiling and being all cute.

It was fun to go and see all the cute kids and the cute outfits! Natalya will be too old next year, but I think I will have a go at it with Nadia!
