Tracy, Ca- The End
On Monday we spent the day shopping, saying good-bye to Drew, Derrick, and Ashley, and had another BBQ. I think this is the point where we had enough to eat.
On Tuesday Evan and Steven had to leave early in the morning. Then my mom, dad, and our little family went to San Fransisco. My dad ended up driving our van for us and I do have to say he maneuvered around San Fran like a pro! We went to Fisherman’s Wharf first , ate clam chowder in bread bowls, shopped and saw the sea lions. Tanner and Natalya loved the sea lions and we had to tear them away.
Next we drove over to Chinatown and spent a few hours. We all bought way too much stuff. We got handbags, shoes, swords, fans, and umbrella, and my favorite buy:
Matching Chinese outfits for the girls! A long time ago when I was pregnant with Tanner we went to Chinatown. I decided that when we had a little girl (or two) I would go back and get her one of these outfits. The ones we picked are very well made and so cute! They will be wearing them to church on Sunday!
We were so tired by the end of the day. However, not tired enough to have a little friend reunion. Two of my best friends from high school Krystal and Natalie! We had fun catching up and visiting. After our visits I always wish we had more time to spend together.
The next day we were all packed up and ready for the long journey back home. However, we could not end our trip without a visit to the Ghirardelli Chocolate Outlet in Lathrop. If you live near there or ever visit there YOU MUST STOP! Everything in there is so cheap and so delicious. We loaded up our bags with chocolates bars and hit the road with a dark chocolate sundae (mind you it was 9:30 in the morning). Dark chocolate sundae= 60% dark chocolate ice cream with dark chocolate fudge, dark chocolate syrup, whipped cream and dark chocolate sprinkles. It was the prefect ending to our prefect trip.
And lastly, somewhere in Nevada we made our visit to our favorite fast food establishment we cannot go to in Utah (and no it is NOT In & Out). It’s Jack in the Box! We have to fit it in our trip every time. We always have a hard time picking just exactly what we want. This time Trent got the ciabatta burger and I got mini sirloin burgers. I am drooling just thinking about all it’s goodness.
We arrived home near midnight and were shocked by the growth of our grass and garden (our cilantro and chives were outta control)! We had such a fun time on our trip, and grateful for all my parents did to make it happen. Hopefully we will be able to do it again soon.
