The Painting Project
It is now officially done! Last Saturday we took on the task to paint Tanner’s room!
We got most of it finished on Saturday, but we had to do like 5 coats of the red, and then do some touch ups. This was the first time I have ever painted a room. Live and learn, here is what I should have done…
I decided to paint the blue and the tan first, then paint the red. What I should have done was paint the tan, the red, then the blus last. Here are the reasons: The red does not cover up the blue very well (hence the 5 coats), and there were lots of drips. Other then that it turned out fantasitc and I think we did a great job.
Next we buy bunk beds!!

Red is such a difficult color to paint. I always underestimate how much I really need. The room looks awesome! I bet he loves it. You should be proud of yourself!!!

looks awesome I can’t wait to paint the kids rooms… and ours. I hear tell of a magnetic paint. we want to do at least a strip of it in the kids rooms so they have that fun. Some neighbors did it an its rad, plus shiny Olea thinks that is too cool.

hey, kelsey just painted her nephew’s room almost just like that, except light blue with red and dark blue stripe. she had the same problem with the red. she planned on using only 1 quart but ended up using 2 or 3. looks good! painting is seriously such a big job, but the results are usually stellar.
