The Miskin Family

Last night some friends and I, along with 75 percent of women around the country, went to the Breaking Dawn release party. For those of you who are clueless about it, it is the final book of the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer. My friend Jenn organized everything, right down to the t-shirts that say “real men sparkle” We met around 8:30pm then headed out to get some food. Being pregnant, I also had  to load up on Dr. Pepper so I would be sure to make until the midnight release time.

After food we had fun hanging out at Barnes and Noble. People were dressed up in prom dresses, or in the typical vampire garb, and there were several groups like us in original twilight tees. One of the girls in our group, Jessie, was a finalist in the Twilight trivia contest. She did a awesome job, but couldn’t keep up with the crazies. I also met up with my friend Stephanie and her sister.

Around 11:30pm we got in line (after a run to the gas station for bathroom breaks and more food). We had fun talking, and waiting, and talking, and waiting some more. My least favorite parts was the person who threw up (too much excitement?), the person with BAD b.o., and the fact that half of our group left to see if they could get their books at walmart…and at 12:15pm we received a texted picture of the girls holding their books already. We didn’t get ours until 1:15am. Nonetheless, us dedicated fans still had a great time.

Because I was so hopped up on DP, I didn’t fall asleep until 3am. I have managed to read to page 300, and whoa, talk about unexpceted turns! I won’t reveal more though because I don’t want any enemies.
