The Miskin Family

Tonight I realized I am just as much attached to my children’s toys as they are. I have a friend who was so sick of her daughters messy room that she gathered all the toys off the floor, and threw them away! I was very tempted to do that tonight when I walked into Tanner’s room. Disaster area does not even come close to describing it. I was about 2 seconds away from grabbing a garbage bag and throwing everything away. As I looked around I thought “Well, everything but the cars…oh, and the legos, and the little people, and maybe not the dress ups. That pretty much left the random pieces of paper (his “mail”) that scattered the floor. It physically hurt me to think of throwing all that stuff away.

So, to you women who are stronger than I, and can easily get rid of your children’s toys, my hats off to you.
