A Week in Review
This week had it ups and downs. We did some fun things, like our ice cream party, Family Art Festival at the BYU Museum of Art, and Dairy Days at Farm Country!
The downs were Natalya and I being semi sick. We both got sore throats Wednesday night. If you asked Natalya where it hurt, she would grab at her neck and say “hurt, hurt”. Natalya seemed to recoup easier than me (or I overdid myself like usual). So, Friday night into today I felt horrible. Now that I have rested, I feel much better.
Here are some pictures of the Family Art festival. I went with my friend Becca and her kids. They had their faces painted, built castles, had treats, and painted some fun pictures! They also received balloons when we left. Last week when Tanner received a balloon from costco, he accidentally let it go into the sky. He was devastated the entire day. This time Tanner was so careful with his, he held on with both hands so tight. After we got in the car, it randomly popped! Poor kid, but I told him we could pretend that it was Natalya’s that popped and he seemed to be okay with that.
Dairy Days was at the farm at Thanksgiving Point. The kids made butter, ate free ice cream, made their own ice cream (and ate that too), played a few games, and of course rode horses. Natalya loved the bunnies this time, she even let them nibble her fingers. Tanner was able to get one of the Clydesdale horses to come up to him!
Next week will be fun and exciting for us. On Tuesday my old college roommate Cassandra is getting married, and we are so lucky to be involved in all the festivities! The next day, Natalya and I fly to California to visit my parents for several days. This also includes a visit to San Luis Obispo to visit my brother, his wife, and their new baby Drew! I am so excited, but I will miss my boys dearly. I am sure they will get in a little male bonding time.
