Happy “Reese”ter
Today the “Reese”ter bunny came to our house! I call him the “reese”ter bunny because almost everything he brought had peanut butter in it including reeseter bunnies.
Our holiday celebration began last night. We dyed Easter eggs, and as a special treat, Grandma and Grandpa Miskin dropped by! Grandpa helped Dad fix the dryer (keep your fingers crossed!) and Grandma helped us dye the eggs. Tanner is obsessed with hard boiled eggs, so as soon as we finished, he had to eat one. And then since Tanner had one, Natalya had to too. The best part was when Grandma gave Natalya the egg yoke to eat, she took one bite, spit it out, made a face, then stuff the white into her mouth to take away the nasty yoke taste. Like mother like daughter!
Oh, and Natalya put on Tanner’s spiderman outfit. She is trying to be just like him these days.
The kids and I all wore our Easter best today, and here is our rushed picture before church.
Our Easter bunny didn’t come until after church today. Tanner was so excited to come home. The Easter bunny hid all of our easter baskets. Tanner found in first, and we had to quickly find Natalya’s because she immediately tried to eat Tanner’s candy. Tanner received a few cars movies cars (and oddly enough, it was on Easter last year when he received his very first one!) . Natalya also got a few fun things, and the kids of course got candy! Trent and I both took a little bit to fin our baskets. They were both hidden in the downstairs bathroom, great minds think a like!
We also did a mini easter egg hunt in the back yard with the eggs we dyed. The kids caught on fast and ended in 2.3 seconds.
We has a delicious dinner of cornish game hens, fresh green beans, garlic yukon gold mashed potatoes, tomato salad, and fruit if yogurt dip. I had a really good picture of it all, and once again my camera failed me. Oh well, at least the food didn’t fail me!
And of course, while this was all fun, there is a even better reason for this holiday. With kids it is hard to always incorporate the important aspects of certain holidays, and hope I get better as time goes on. I do have a testimony of Christ, his birth, his death, and his resurrection. I also have a testimony of his second coming, and what a glorious day that will be. I am so grateful that he suffered for my sins, and died for me so that I can be forgiven and also be resurrected. There is no greater gift then that.

I love the pictures!! And, the dress Natalya was wearing was the one Leah was going to wear too!! We really need to stop being so alike!! It’s freaky sometimes.
