A Good Experience

I actually had (have had) a good experience with a car repair shop. Since Trent works, I am the designated car dropper offer to have the car repairs done. I almost always take our cars to the Campus American Car Care Center on the corner of Bulldog and Canyon Dr. here in Provo (right at the entrance to BYU campus) for an oil change and for other random needs. This place in ran by a guy named John. He is ALWAYS there when I go in. He is the nicest guy. He always talks to my kids, and explains things in terms I would understand. After he explains things to me, he even writes down the problems he encounters with the car, so that I can take it home and show it to Trent if I need to. It is one of the only places I can take the car in for an oil change, and not have them tell me a million things I need to have done (transmission flush, air filter, ect).

About a month ago, I took my car in for an oil change, and Tanner left his play sunglasses behind. Well, earlier this week, I took Trent’s car in, and lo and behold, there were Tanner’s sunglasses sitting right on the front desk. John saved them, because he knew we would be back in sometime, and we would see them. Even better, they fixed something on Trent’s car, for free! Something went wrong with Trent’s door, and you could only open it form the outside. They went ahead and fixed it for me, free of charge!

It is rare these days, as a woman, to be able to go into a car place and not feel like you’re being scammed or pushed around. I recommend this place to anyone who is in the Provo area. They give a small student discount on oil changes, and they specialize in tires. Anyway, I wanted to leave some kind of comment for them, but they didn’t have a comment box, or anything in of the like, so I thought I post on my blog would suffice.
